Clear Targets:
  • Log into CMCSS Google account
  • Access Google Classroom
  • Create a Google Classroom and locate 'Join Code'
  • Add a variety of digital content to the classroom in a variety of ways
  • Develop process for promoting high quality online discussions
  • Develop high quality discussion questions

Log into Google

  • Open Google in a browser
  • Click Sign in in the upper right corner
  • Enter your CMCSS email
  • Enter Password (password is not connected to my log-in)
Navigate to Google Classroom

  • Click Waffle
  • Select Drive
  • Click Waffle (in Drive)
  • Click More (at bottom of list)
  • Scroll until Classroom icon appears
  • Click on Classroom icon
  • (First time users will need to go through a few extra steps)
  • Click the "+" symbol to Create a class.
  • Name the class.
Find the Code

  • Click Students
  • Locate Code to left of Stream
  • Note the permissions under the class code
  • Be deliberate with these settings
